Jaezes

About us

Jaezes is, for now, one person and one stubborn idea.

The person is Igor Pereira. He has been creating digital content for fifteen years. He started on an internet that was still a place for curious people, and never left. In all that time he has been through almost everything a screen allows: he was a video editor, the kind who cuts hours of footage until only what matters is left; he taught programming and logic, teaching people who swore they had no talent for it to think in steps, to distrust their own certainties and to like mistakes, because that is where learning comes from; and he became an artificial intelligence developer, working from the inside on the tools that today help this game exist.

Over time, these things stopped being separate jobs and became a single way of looking. Editing video teaches rhythm and silence. Teaching logic teaches how to explain without stalling. Artificial intelligence teaches that a machine can do a great deal, except want. The wanting still belongs to the one who makes. Jaezes is born of that wanting.

The stubborn idea is Origens da Alma. It comes from a question Igor has carried for a long time: what is left of someone when everything is taken from them, even their name? Instead of answering in a text, he chose to answer in a game. Choices that truly weigh and cannot be undone. A world that does not wait for you. Companions who may not reach the end. And Brazilian legends, the ones he heard as a child and never forgot, walking the same paths as the player.

The game is being made with few hands, many sleepless nights and one simple rule: nothing goes in ready-made. Every animation, every sound, every small detail is thought through before it goes in, because the soul lives in the small things.

I like animation. I like detail.
